Comments on "Kids Who Are Picky Eaters"

Kids are fussy eaters? Undeniable, most of the kids nowadays are being fussy. Normally, children may become fussy eaters around the age of 18-24 months. That is how most of the parents worry about because friends, teacher and even government are keeping telling them not to be fussy eaters. It will cause some of the nutrition will not be digest by our body.

So what can we do? Should parents do something to encourage children for this situation? Let’s read the quote form Professor Benton, “It’s a survival mechanism. Once children start walking, neophobioa discourages them from eating foods which may be poisonous. It doesn’t mean that your child is a poor eater. Thankfully it’s something that most children grow out of with time, but it is a big problem for parents trying to get children to try and accept new foods” We can see that there are disadvantages as if parents force their child to eat some kind of food. But still we have to do something to against these problems. We try new way, not force.

There are ways pointed out from Professor Benton.
1. The emotional atmosphere at mealtimes is important. Don’t use meal times as an opportunity to chastise and don’t let a child’s failure to eat cause unpleasantness.

2. Keep trying new foods. Repeated exposures to initially disliked foods can breakdown resistance.

3. Don’t restrict access to particular foods.

4. Don’t use high energy foods as rewards and treats for eating their greens.

I think they are some ways to improve the situation. I have to do something instead of sacred by the sentence “It’s not your cooking, it’s your genes,” from The New York Times. We are not going to be waiting but work it out.

If I had to choose some place in Hong Kong to be the ninth wonder of the world, I would like to choose the Tsing Ma Bridge. For the first image to the tourist, Tsing Ma Bridge is important. It is not only beautiful but it is awesome and magnificent. This double-decked suspension bridge is born to break records. Such as “the world's longest span suspension bridge carrying both road and rail traffic” and “one of the top 10 construction projects of the 20th Century”.
Because of those reasons, I think it is the best choice to name it as “the ninth wonder of the world” but not others.

My Hobby

I hate most of the sports because they deplete my energy and the feeling of sweat moistened between my body and clothes is so hard. But there is a sport that I love, it is energetic and excited which is skiing.
And one of the things that I love it is because I can ski as fast as a roadster. I can feel the speed that I can’t feel in daily life. Because of those points, I love skiing.
